Sketch Bingo Spring 2026 Edition

Because nothing says “spring in Portland” like sketching dogs in rain jackets, food cart pods, and protest signs that double as art.

Remember Sketch Bingo? The game where making art earns you actual discounts and community bragging rights? It’s back. New cards. New prompts. Same excellent combination of creative practice and reward system that makes your brain light up like “yes, this is how all art challenges should work.”

At Art Supply Center, we believe daily creative practice should be fun, not homework. Sketch Bingo gives you prompts, structure, and a reason to sketch things you might not normally sketch (when was the last time you drew a fixie bike? A whimsical taxidermied animal? Couch Park pigeons?). Plus, you get discounts for doing it. It’s a whole vibe.

This spring, we’ve loaded the cards with peak Portland energy: bridges, gardens, vintage VW buses, umbrella-less Portlanders (because of course), and enough quirky local details to keep you wandering the city with your sketchbook for weeks.

Let’s play.

How Sketch Bingo Works (A Refresher)

The rules haven’t changed. They’re still beautifully simple:

Grab a bingo card. We’ve got two different spring cards (you can do one, or both, or print them multiple times and do them forever — we’re not the boss of you).

Make art based on the prompts. Sketch, doodle, paint, collage, digital, mixed media, whatever counts as “making” to you, counts here. The only requirement is that you actually do it. Honor system. We trust your art vibes.

Mark off completed prompts. Fill in your card as you go. Daily practice is the goal, but there’s no deadline. Go at your own pace.

Bring your card to the shop to claim your discount:

  • Complete 3 in a row (across, down, or diagonal) = 10% off
  • Complete the whole card = 20% off

Share your work on Instagram with #ASCBingo. We want to see what you made. The community wants to see what you made. Future you will want proof that you actually drew a plaid flannel still life.

That’s it. Make art, win discounts, have fun. Extremely straightforward.

Why Sketch Bingo Actually Works (Beyond the Discounts)

It removes decision fatigue. Sometimes the hardest part of making art is deciding what to make. Prompts solve that. You don’t have to brainstorm, just pick a square and go.

It builds a daily practice without pressure. You’re not trying to make a masterpiece. You’re just filling squares. Low stakes. High consistency. The magic accumulates over time.

It gets you out into the city (or noticing what’s already around you). Half these prompts require you to actually look at Portland: bridges, parks, storefronts, gardens. Sketch Bingo turns your city into a scavenger hunt, except instead of collecting items, you’re collecting observations.

It’s a creative excuse to try new things. When was the last time you drew a vintage VW bus? A fixie bike? OMSI at night? Prompts push you into subject matter you wouldn’t normally choose, which is exactly how you discover new techniques and interests.

It connects you to a community. Everyone doing Sketch Bingo is working on the same prompts. When you post #ASCBingo, you’re not just sharing your work, you’re joining a whole group of people sketching pigeons, doughnut boxes, and protest signs. It’s weirdly bonding.

And yes, the discounts are great. We’re not pretending that’s not part of the appeal. Make art, save money, support your local art supply store. Everybody wins.

Come Show Us Your Card (And Claim Your Discount)

Once you’ve completed a row or your whole card, bring it into the shop. We’ll celebrate your squares, give you your discount, and probably get unreasonably excited about your success.

We’re also here for any supplies you need for the journey. Need a portable sketchbook for outdoor prompts? We’ve got you. Want to try watercolor for the garden scenes? We’ll help you pick out the colors. Thinking about doing the whole thing in collage? Excellent choice, we have paper.

Sketch Bingo is our favorite kind of challenge: low pressure, high reward, deeply Portland, and built around the idea that making art should be fun.

So grab your cards, sharpen your pencils (or don’t, dull pencils deserve love too), and let’s fill some squares.
